During the Conference workshops relevant to the utilization of FOSS in education are to be held. Specific workshop topics include but are not limited to:

• Open distance learning platforms 9Moodle, eClass) and their application in education.
• FOSS utilization guides in education.
• Use of EngLab in education.
• The concept of Open CourseWare and its use in education as supplementary/alternative material.
• Open CourseWare sources on the Internet.
• OLPC and Digital Classroom computer.
• Creative Commons Licences, GNU /GPL, FreeBSD, etc.
• Security applications
